in the offchance that I have been able to get to sleep the past few days, I've been having really strange dreams. that's not really new, because my dreams are always vivid, but these are like...another level of wat tbh. I wanna write this one down while it's still fresh in my mind aaaa

I just woke up from one that I don't really remember the exact details of how, but I was helping some little boy to train his strength in using magic??? like it was some sort of clan or tribe or something that had disappeared off the map in ancient times that I had somehow stumbled upon again on a travel expedition, I think?

anyway, there was predicted to be some catastrophe (of course right) and they were preparing to battle it. they brought me to this giant megalithic structure comprised of five faces, each carved with a different emotion: the center-most one that of rage, the bottom-left with apathy, the upper-right happiness, the bottom-right fear and the upper-left sadness. the rest of the structure seemed like a tomb or something like that.

I guess that the disaster had something to do with a neighboring rival culture creating a devastating war in which the megalith would become enchanted and used to destroy their people in order to stake claim over their land and resources (because this was a more advanced civilization and they had better access to more things on the island. oh human greed and jealousy, you are even prevalent in my dreams), and so they had to fight back and make sure to take control of it to send it somewhere else so that it couldn't be used against them.

I had to help them to cast the spells to awaken the faces, which I can't even explain how cool this part was in my dream...like...they were glowing fluorescent teals and greens, with little balls of energy swirling every which way all around the premises of the area, reflecting off the surface of the lake and waterfall surrounding, as well as all of the plants and stuff. it was just really, really cool.
but before we could finish, the other civilization had taken control of the center face, the angry one and most dangerous, and it started bellowing at us in a language that I couldn't understand, but they could. it caused most of them to panic and scatter, etc. and with good reason, because the motherfucker awakened all the rest of them and they all started spewing lasers and shit at us to kill us.

...then I somehow ended up in my bathroom and I just covered the entire thing in a coating of chapstick, like it was just a stupid kid's toy that I'd finally gotten bored with and didn't want to play with anymore. idek. weird shit.

so I'm back from Anime Boston! :D I had a really great time this year; it was definitely better than the past four years, by far. we stayed at Am's apartment and just took the T in this year instead of hotel and fucking around with trying to find parking and walking to the con, which was probably why it was better. there was no stress!
